About Team Cantore:

Date Team Cantore was founded:   2001


Team Cantore's Mission:  Raise awareness and funding for Parkinson’s Research, to expedite a cure for this indiscriminate, degenerative neurological disorder.


Primary Fund Raising Activities: 

• Participation in the annual "Parkinson's Unity Walk" (PUW) in NYC each year (generally the last weekend of April)
• Hosting of Countrified Rock for Research, an Atlanta-based fund-raiser featuring songwriter/producer/ performer Jeffrey Steele.  This event is now Team Cantore's primary fund raising vehicle.

 
Corporate Status: 

• Covered under the Unity Walk’s 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation umbrella, all expenses associated events are covered by sponsor contributions.

        100% of all funds raised from this event go directly toward funding Parkinson's research.

• As an event falling under the administrative umbrella of the PUW 501 (c) (3) non-profit organizations, all of the major PD organizations receive a portion of the funds raised to be applied against their research projects.

About Tamra Cantore:

Tamra was diagnosed and has been living with Parkinson's disease (PD) since 1998. Tamra worked as an executive at The Weather Channel for over 21 years, in the area of Programming Distribution, with specific expertise in Sales Strategy, Affiliate Marketing and Affiliate Operations. The relationships she nurtured, and the networking and marketing skills she developed, have played a huge part in her fund raising success.
